Hemper Enters Argentina As Smoking Accessories Market Accelerates Toward $100 Million
Smoking accessories and lifestyle products manufacturer Hara Brands this week announced the expansion of its brand Hemper into Argentina through an exclusive partnership with national distributor Tabacalera Sarandi. The partnership will bring Hemper’s popular rolling papers, cones, glass accessories, and quick-use products to Argentina, a smoking accessories market projected to reach $106.9M by 2033.
Bryan Gerber, CEO and co-founder Hara Brands, says that the expansion into Argentina gives Hemper broad access to a cannabis market that favors hand-rolled joints as a primary consumption method.
“In Argentina, hand-rolled joints are very much the norm, driven by a long-standing roll-your-own culture that extends well beyond cannabis,” Gerber writes in a written interview with IgniteIt. “Roughly a quarter of the population smokes, and RYO has remained a common and highly visible behavior at retail for years. Consumers are used to selecting their own papers, tips, and accessories, and that level of intention carries over into cannabis consumption as well.”
“That’s what made Argentina a natural fit for us; consumers place real value on the quality and performance of the accessories they use,” he continues. “Our partnership with Tabacalera Sarandí allows us to enter the market responsibly and at scale, meeting demand in a market that already prioritizes consistency, craftsmanship and well-designed products.”
Accessories Market to Climb to $100 Million in Seven Years
Argentina’s smoking accessories market was valued at USD $65.52 million in 2024 and is projected to reach USD $106.94 million by 2033, according to data from Deep Market Insights. Rolling papers, tips, and glass accessories are the most popular product categories, showing strong sell-through across the South American nation’s retail landscape.
Under the new partnership, Tabacalera Sarandí will bring a focused lineup of Hemper products to Argentina, offering the collection online and through select brick‑and‑mortar retailers. The first wave of products features Hemper hemp and paper rolls and cones, quick hitters, quick tips, and the brand’s recognizable glass pieces. Built around strong shelf appeal and dependable performance, Hemper accessories are positioned to encourage trial, build repeat purchase, and support healthy margins for the brand’s retail partners.
Guillermo Dubois, product manager of Tabacalera Sarandí, a Buenos Aires-based distributor with a national retail footprint, said that the company’s partnership with Hara Brands and Hemper “reflects a shared focus on long-term value creation.”
“We have built a national distribution platform rooted in reliability, retail relationships, and execution,” Dubois said on Tuesday in a statement from Hara Brands. “Hemper’s product portfolio complements our strategy by offering differentiated, high-quality accessories that meet the expectations of both retailers and consumers in Argentina.”
