Curio Wellness Eyes Growth As It Adds Missouri Dispensaries

Cannabis brand Curio Wellness agreed to acquire four high-volume retail dispensaries in Missouri operating under the Greenlight brand.

The deal is pending regulatory approval, according to the company.

Why It Matters

The vertically integrated operator said on Wednesday that the new retail locations boost Curio’s retail portfolio and presence in Southeast Missouri.

The transaction is projected to enhance shareholder value by leveraging operational synergies, improving supply-chain efficiency, and driving broader brand adoption across a large and expanding market.

Michael Bronfein, CEO, Curio Wellness, said bringing the new “exceptionally well operated and culturally aligned” locations to “The Curio family advances our mission to deliver trusted products, service, and value—customer by customer, store by store, market by market.”

“This acquisition represents an intentional step in our national strategy, building on market entries, franchise development, and brand partnerships designed for predictable results and sustainable growth,” Bronfein continued.

What’s Next

Curio anticipates continued momentum in the fourth quarter of 2025, including the introduction of its branded products in New York via a licensing partnership with Vireo Health.

The company also plans to open a franchise location in New Jersey, made possible by Curio’s Private Equity Fund for Social Equity operators.

“As we integrate these Missouri locations and execute on our Q4 initiatives in New York and New Jersey, our focus remains clear,” Bronfein said. “We’re here to bring innovation, access, and value to customers and stakeholders nationwide—responsibly, consistently, and at scale.”

In Missouri, recreational cannabis is legal for adults 21 or older to buy and possess up to 3 ounces.

For medical patients, possession is allowed up to a “60-day supply,” which is defined as 12 ounces of dried marijuana or equivalent if they are not engaging in the cultivation process.

Latest regulatory updates include a push from the Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation that seeks to allow curbside pickup at dispensaries on Tuesday. Under a draft of a proposed amendment, public feedback is due by Oct. 28
